Archaea

Archaea are like an ancient type of bacteria but they are evolutionarily distinct to all other life. They are different in some of the building blocks which make up the cell.

Archaea just LOVE extreme environments. Very cold, very warm, very acidic – you’ll find Archaea.

As far as we know, no Archaea are known to cause disease in humans.
