Rhinovirus (common cold virus)

Rhinovirus is a virus that causes the common cold and spreads when someone coughs or sneezes, or when you touch things they’ve touched.

It makes your nose runny, your throat sore, and can give you a cough and a little fever, which usually lasts for about a week.

To avoid getting sick, wash your hands often and stay away from sick people, and if you do get sick yourself, rest and drink lots of fluids to feel better.
